VI Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels are classified based on how deeply they penetrate the skin layers and include Superficial, Medium-Depth and Deep Peels. The deeper the penetration the greater the overall exfoliation and cellular regeneration. The depth of the peel is determined by several factors that include acid type(s), percent concentration of the acid(s), the pH of the solution, as well as the time on the skin. There are many superficial peels on the market that, as the name suggests, only address surface issues. Deep peels are available, but downtime exists and can be significant. For true correction, VI Peel offers six medium-depth peel formulations that make the most impact, with the least amount (if any) of downtime.

VI “Medium-Depth” Peels penetrate through the Dermal-Epidermal Junction to the papillary dermis as shown in this graphic.
Melanin creates the pigment of our skin and lives within our skin cells.  When melanin is overproduced, the skin exhibits hyperpigmentation or spots.  VI Peels focus on lifting and exfoliating those skin cells to allow our body to produce new cells that are healthier and less pigmented.  The process of exfoliation also smooths the surface of our skin creating softer smoother texture.

At TruSerene MedSpa, our skilled practitioners customize each peel to suit your skin type, concerns, and desired results. With a range of options available—from light peels that refresh the skin with little to no downtime, to deeper treatments that provide significant rejuvenation—you can feel confident that your treatment plan is tailored specifically for you. Whether you’re looking to brighten dull skin, fade sun damage, or reduce signs of aging, chemical peels offer a safe and proven way to achieve lasting improvements in both the health and beauty of your skin.

Why We Are Well Known

About VI Chemical Peels

What It Is

Chemical peels are exfoliating solutions customized for different skin types. Our practitioners incorporate various active ingredients to exfoliate dead skin cells and reveal a new layer of skin. Depending on the peel's depth, different skin layers will be targeted, and the application process may vary. Superficial skin peels are applied in layers and left on your skin, unlike deeper chemical peels that are timed and removed. The strength of a superficial peel is controlled by the number of layers applied.

How It Works

A chemical peel involves applying a chemical solution to your face to remove damaged skin cells and stimulate a fresher, younger-looking complexion. When the dull, damaged surface layer of your skin is removed, new, healthier cells grow in its place. Different types of chemical peels use various acids, some stronger than others. Our practitioners will help you understand the differences and suggest the peel that works best for your skin type and concerns.

What To Expect

The duration of the dermal filler procedure typically ranges from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the areas being treated. Some mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site is common but generally resolves within a few days. Results are often visible immediately, with improvements continuing over the next 2-3 weeks as the filler integrates with your skin. Depending on the type of filler used and the area treated, results can last between 6 to 24 months. For the best experience, follow all aftercare instructions provided by your practitioner.

KEY BENEFITS

Removes dead skin cells to reveal a fresher layer of skin, Stimulates the growth of healthier skin cells, Tailored to different skin types and concerns, Helps achieve a radiant and youthful complexion, Light peels offer quick recovery, while deeper peels provide significant benefits with manageable downtime.

Summary

Chemical peels effectively exfoliate dead skin cells, revealing a more youthful, radiant complexion. By removing the dull, damaged surface layer, these treatments stimulate the growth of healthier skin cells, resulting in a fresher and more rejuvenated appearance.
